Story
Beyond the city were the Lost Ground of ruins and poverty. In this world, there were two kind of humans, the normal humans and the one who possess an alter. Alters are special abilities which greatly increase a person's abilities. They come in many different forms and exist inside or outside the human body.Kazuma is a person with an alter who lived outside the city. He fought agaist other alter users to ear money for a little girl whom he sees as one of his own family. However, the invasion of HOLD, an alter user organization from the city whose job is to suppress alters outside the city, Kazuma saw his friends die one by one and developed a great hatred towards the organization, especially to the ace in the group, Ryuho, who beat his alter the first time they met.
Under certain circumstances, Kazuma and Ryuho became enemies, and during one of their fights, both of them were sent to the 'other side of the light', where it is rumoured that the source of alter power was born. New alter users from the city wanted to obtain this great power, and Kazuma and Ryuho became their new target, in order to open the door to the light...
Characters
Kazuma: A native alter user who lived outside the city in the Lost Grounds and made a living by challenging other alter users and defeating them. His alter is a golden right arm for the first form, a spinning punch for the second and a whole-body golden armour for the third form.
Ryuhou: The son of a lord who lived in the sity, but he joined HOLY to replenish his alter user skills in order to find and defeat the murderer of his mom and dog during a childhood incident. His alter is Zetsurei, a robot-like individual who was completed after his mother's death.
Scheris Adjani: A member of HOLY and Ryuho's parter when they went out to supress native alter users. Her alter is Eternal Devotion, which allows her to send an electric shock to someone in contact and the final form used to retrive a life in the expense of her own. She liked Ruyo since the time he saved her and gave up her life to save him.
Kanami Yuta: A little girl who lived with Kazuma and whom he swore to protect with all his heart. She disliked Kazuma fighting with other alter users to ear money. She had many realistic dreams which she did not until the end realized as part of her alter power, to see and feel what other alter users see and feel.
Mimori Kiryu: The daughter of a high officer from the Mainland (highest authority of the city) who was interested in researching about alter powers. She came to HOLY to work as a scientific researcher and learnt about the cruel fate of alter users that were captured and sent to the Mainland.
Martin Zigmarl: The head of HOLY, who established the orgaization to supress native alter users and to stop the Mainland from violetly destroying the Lost Grounds. He only used his alter before he died in order to make Ryuho understand his own power and to call forth the third form of Zetsuei.
Kunihiko Kimishima: Kazuma's friend from the Lost Ground, who was the one to find fights for Kazuma ad earn money together. He was a true friend, one who would even risked his life for what Kazuma did. He died during a fight with HOLY because he did not have an alter.
Straight Cougar: A member of HOLY who believed in nothing but speed. His alter is a racing-car like thing that ca be used as a car or combined at his feet to increase his speed. He is the fastest alter user in the whole country. He fell in love with Mimori at first sight and decided to protect her even if she did not like him.
Asuka Tachibana: A member of HOLY who lost his position after he lost in a gith to Kazuma. However, he gave up his decision on rejoining the force and led a free life helping his friends in HOLY and doing what he believed is right. His alter is a set of green balls which can be used to control people, act as a shield or to attack.
Kyouji Mujo: An alter user sent from the Mainland to be in charge of HOLY and the Lost Grounds. Since he was small, he had envied everyone rich ad hope to gain the alter power "on the other side of the door". He used Kazuma and Ryuho to open the door to the other side and grabbed the alter power. His alter power is Absorption, a technique that allowed him to take someone's alter power and use it.Gallery
