Kino no Tabi
Alternate Title: Kino's Journey
Story
A girl who has forgotten her name lived in a small city where every child has to do a surgery when they reach 12 so that they can work happily even if they feel sad. A few days before this girl has her surgery, a traveller in the name of Kino came to this city and taught her many things. The girl didn't want to have the surgery then, but her parents regard this as an insult to the family and tried to kill her.Kino helped her block the blow and died. Afraid and confused, the girl got on Kino's motorbike and left her homeplace. She named herself Kino and the motorbike Hermes. Together they set out for their own journey. Kino met her teacher in the forest and became a good gun master. She traveled around the world, meeting strange people and strange events.
Characters
Kino: A girl of 12 when she met a traveller on his way in the name of Kino. She later used his name and his motorbike to begin her own journey. 
Hermes: The motorbike that the original ino made. Kino rode on it and escape from her parents. Hermes can speak human language and is Kino's best friend.
