Story
Ten years ago, when all the ninja villages are after the book of Secret Art - Shinra Banshou, the art escaped from its original owner onto her son, and activated, killing everyone who was nearby at that time...Ten years later, no one seemed to remember what happened ten years ago. Rokujyo Miharu was a high school student who helped in his aunt and uncle's okonomiyaki shop. He longed for a carefree and peaceful life but he met Kouichi and Kumohira-sensei who persuaded him so badly to join the nindo club. Miharu had no idea why they wanted him to join so much until he was attacked by a group of ninjas after school.
Miharu was told that the ninjas from the past had changed their living styles in the modern world and called the ninja world as the "World of Nabari". He also discoverd that the Secret Art Shinra Banshou resided inside his body, and only the bearer could use it. Shinra Banshou was the book of unlimited wisdom which gave its bearer the knowledge to do anything he wished. One of the stronger ninja villages, Kairoushyu wanted the Secret Art so badly that he attacked every ninja village for each of their secret books.
In the group that came for Miharu, there was one person who uses Kairoushyu's secret book - Kira, which allowed him to kill people internally by inserting "ki" into their bodies. This kira-user came to request Mihau to erase him with Shinra Banshou while holding his friends hostage. Miharu accepted his requests and left Banten, the ninja clan Kouichi and Kumohira were in, and joined Kairoushyu. Yoite and he tried in their own way to recover all the secret books from the ninja villages and to activate Shinra Banshou, in order to fulfill Yoite's wish...
Characters
Rokujyo Miharu: A carefree high school boy who did not know about the power inside him. ven when he first learnt about Shinra Banshou, he tried to ignore the things happening around him. However, his meeting with Yoite and the learning of his life made him wanted to use Shinra Banshou to help him.
Yoite: A member of Kairoushyu. He was abandoned when he was a kid and was taken under the shelter of Kairoushyu. He learnt kira despite knowing that it would take up his life force because he wanted to erase his existence. 
Thobari Kumohira Durandal: An English teacher in Miharu's school, but in the world of Nabari he was the head of the Banten village. He promised Miharu's mom to keep Miharu away from Shinra Banshou so he was always against him thinking of using it. He sealed everyone's memories ten years ago in the Banten Secret Book - Engetsurin.
Shimizu Raimei: A member Fuuma and of the Shimizu clan, who are the ones responsible for the peace of the world of nabari but not interferring with anything. She helped Banten in order to meet her brother, who was a member of Kairoushyu.
Aizawa Kouichi: Miharu's classmate who tried to get him into Banten. He usually fought with knives and wind ninjutsu. He was once shot by a gun but he did not die because he was immortal. His immortality came from one of the past Shinra Banshou users who was a doctor and tried an experiment on him.
Fuuma Kotarou: The head of the Fuuma village. He had no actual appearance. He usually dressed himself as a long hair glasses guy in traditional Japanese shrine clothing.
Saraba:Member of the Fuuma village. She is one of the top officials under Kotarou, together with Juji.
Minami Juji: She acts as the nurse of the village and took care of Miharu & co. after they were injured by Kairoushyu. She also disguised as one of the students accompanying Banten to the meeting called by the village of Kouga.
Yukimi Kazuhiko: The leader of the Kairoushyu squad and also the guardian of Yoite. He is an author on the surface world and is always very busy to keep track on what Yoite is doing. He uses a gun instead of ninjitsu.
Shimizu Raikou: Raimei's older brother who killed their whole clan and joined Kairoushyu, but later it was found out that he was not the one who killed their parents. He joined Kairoushyu to protect Raimei and the ideals of their clan. In the end he was killed by Hattori.
Meguro Gau: A student from the surface world who was saved by Raikou and became his follower. He believed that Keiroushyu is going to change the world in a good way. He tried his best to solve the misunderstanding between the Shimizu siblings because he wants Raikou to be happy.
Hattori Tojuro: The leader of Kairoushyu, also one of the high officials of Japan. He wants to collect all the Secret Arts of the ninja village and transfer the Shinra Banshou from Miharu into his body, but his plan failed when Shinra Banshou went berserk.
Oda Yae: Leader of the Togakushi village, alsp the president of a small company called Fog Blue on the surface world. Her ability of the Izura Shingan allows her to read people's minds, and to enter the Shinra Banshou inside Miharu. 
Kurookano Shijima: Student of Alya Academy. She is the person whom the leader of the Louga village entrusted the Setret Art fo Daya before he died, which she handed over to Miharu. She was actually the immortal cat whom Miharu kept at home, also a subject of experiment similar to Kouichi.Gallery
