Story
Negi Springfield wanted to become the Magister Magi like his father, because he believed that he could travel around and look for his father after he became a great magician. However, as part of his traning, he was assigned to be the homeroom teacher of Class 2-A of Mahora Gakuen, a girl's school with a big campus like a city.Negi was told not to let anyone know that he could use magic, but upon the meetings with Asuna, Evangeline, Chachamaru, and other classmates, he soon realized that his secret could no longer be hidden. Together Class 2-A fought for the life of Asuna to cancel out the treaty she signed with the king of demons.
Characters
Negi Springfield: A 10-year-old boy who wished to be a great Magister Magi like his dad, who was nowhere to be found at present. In order to become a Magister Magi, Negi had to pass his test, which was to become a high school teacher in Mahora Academy without anyone knowing him as a magic user.
Asuna Kagurazaka: She was one of the first people Negi met at the school, and she immediately have a grudge against him. However, being informed of his past, Asuna began to care for Negi. She likes Takahata sensei and was the only person who discovered Negi was a magic user.
Konoka Konoe: Asuna's best friend and roommate. She was the principal's granddaughter and actually she possessed a lot of magical powers, although she didn't notice this herself.
Ayaka Yukihiro: The class representative of 2-A, and liked Negi. She always fought with Azuna but actually they cared for eath other a lot. She was impulsive at times and quite persistent.
Evangeline A.K. McDowell: The greatest magician of evil, who was defeated by Negi's dad and sealed in Mahora Academy. She tried to kill Negi in order to return to her original self but was saved by him and became his alliance. 
Chachamaru Karakuri: Evangeline's partner. She is a robot, but strangely she had feelings for her master and other people. She was very loyal to Evangeline, and liked cats (?!)
Nodoka Miyasaki: A shy girl who had male phobia before Negi came. Negi saved her as she fell over the stairs and she fell in live with him. She was part of the library research club so she was a knowledgable person.
Yue Ayase: Nodoka's best friend and president of the library research club. She was clever but lazy to study. She wanted to help Nodoka approach Negi but fell in love with him herself.
Kaede Nagase: A ninja and member of the Baka Rangers. She could duplicate her self and she trained very hard in the mountains. She was good at fighting too.
Setsuna Sakurazaki: Powerful swordswoman. She was quiet and clam, but she became very reliable when she wanted to protect her ojou-sama, Konoka. She was one of the people who knew about Negi's background from the start.
Fei Ku : President of the Kung Fu club, so needn't say she was good at fighting. She perform Kung Fu shows during festivals and respected by her fellow members. She didn't have magical powers, she fought with her bare hands and feet.
Makie Sasaki : Member of the dancing club, expert in using ribbons. She was attached by Evangeline when there was rumour about a vampire on Sakura Lane.
Kazumi Asakura : President of the Photography club. She was good at collecting information about the school and published the Mahora Paper. She also organized events for the class.Gallery
