Story
Everything is normal for Yuuji Sakai, until that incident. While he was walking back home after school, the surrounding suddenly changed and everyone became still as stone except himself. A monster appeared and ate up the people's souls. As Yuuji was being attacked, a girl with hair red as flames saved him. He then learnt that Yuuji Sakai was already dead.In order to prevent disturbance of the soul reincarnations on earth and the heavens, Flame Hazes like the red-haired girl came to kill the tomogaras, who eat up humans' existence power. These humans whose souls were eaten will die, and their existence will be taken upon by torches, some blue flame existence power in the form of humans.
Yuuji was told to possess a hougo in the name of Reiji Maigo, which can recharge his existence power every night at midnight. This treasure was targeted by many people related to the Flame Hazes. However, Yuuji was captured by the "Dance Party" and the red-haired girl risked her life to save him.
Characters
Yuuji Sakai: He lives the normal of a regular high school student until he learnt about his death. He is the mistess who possess one of the rare treasures. He met a Flame Haze who rescued him and he gave her the name "Shana".
Shana: Flame Haze - Enpatsu Shakugan no Uchite (roughly translated as flamed-haired and eyed slayer). She was appointed to help Alastor to keep the balance of the world in return for the power she possessed. Shana took the place of Yuuji's classmate, Yukari Hirai, who was dead, and began to like Yuuji.
Hayato Ike: Yuuji's best friend. He is an excellent student and likes to help Yuuji put when he has troubles. He seemed to like Kazumi, but since Kazumi likes Yuuji, he kept silent of his feelings and helped her confess.
Kazumi Yoshida: Yuuji's classmate who had a crush on him since he first saved her. She was a shy girl and missed many opportunities for confessing. She had a great shock when she learnt that Yuuji was a torch, and felt disappointed when she knew Shana loved Yuuji despite him being not human.
Alastor: Tenjou no Gouka (roughly translated as the Flames from Heaven). He took the form of a pendent which Shana brought with her whereever she went. He gave Shana the power of the flames and gave her advice when fighting.
Margery Daw: Flame Haze - Choushi no Yomite (roughly translated as the spell chanter). She has her Lord in the form of a book. She can cast spells and kekkai and can use magic attacks.
Wilhelmina Carmel: Flame Haze - Banjou no Shite (roughly translated as controller of numerous stripes). She was the one who cared for Shana when she was preparing to become a Flame Haze, and the one who helped Shana when she made a decision and began to make a move. She was loyal to her Lord and always acted according to her mission. Gallery
