Story
Manta Oyamada loved ghost stories. One night as he was walking home, he walked past the cemetery and saw a boy sitting on a stone staring at the stars. The stargazers name is Asakura Yoh and he is a shaman, a link between this world and the next. Yoh and Morty become friends and Yoh shows Morty what a shaman can really do. He 'spirit fuses' with a ghost named Amidamaru, which later becomes his guardian ghost and fights a bad gang led by Ryu of the Wooden Sword. Yoh's fiancée, Anna later comes to town and she trains Yoh harshly. Afterward Yoh meets some cool new friends and then meets up with his older brother Hao who he had not seen since he was about 1 or 2 years old.Characters
Asakura Yoh:Yoh is a very lazy person who likes to relax, and listen to music. He is a very strong Shaman. He will do anything for his friends, and he believes that anyone who can see spirits is good.
Asakura Hao: Asakura Hao is a shaman that's been living for over 1000 years. He is evil because he wants to kill all humans and force all shamans to join him or they die. When he was reborn into the Asakura family he was split in two halves. His other half is Yoh (which makes them brothers) and he always seems to stall and toy with Yoh everytime they meet.
Anna Kyoyama: Anna is an Itako and she is also Yoh's fiancee. She doesn't really show love for Yoh, but in reality she loves him a lot. She trains Yoh to the max and makes Ryu and Manta cook, and clean. She treated Horo Horo as a slave when he stayed with them. She may seem unpleasant, but if it wasn't for her, Yoh would be sleeping, and doing nothing all day. 
Oyamada Manta : Manta is Yoh's, super-smart, short, best friend. He seems to get worried over things easily and his dad expects alot out of him. He is very rich, and lives in a big house, and he has his own laptop, and a bike, and a helicopter. He was Yoh's first ever human friend and gets scared by ghosts easily. He carries a huge dictionary around most of the time.
Tao Ren: When he showed up, he almost cut Yoh's arm off. He used to think he was the only needed Shaman, until Yoh showed him that not all shamans/humans were bad. He was the captain when he, Yoh, Horo Horo, and Ryu went to America for the Shaman Fight, but when he noticed Yoh was aware of crap around them, he told him to be the captain. When they were picking out their Shaman Fight Teams, he picked Chocolove and Horo Horo because Ryu and Faust picked Yoh.
Horo Horo: Horo Horo may seem stupid at times, but he’s a very reliable friend. His sister is Pirika expects alot out of him. He originally showed up when Yoh and Manta got back from going to the store for Anna, and he was laying by a lamp pole, and there was a snowman. His dream is to make a field full of this plant so he can save the Koro Pokkuru.
Lyserg Diethel: Lyserg is really cute. He puts himself down alot, saying he's weak. When he was looking for 'strong partners', he came across Yoh, Ren, Ryu, and Horo Horo. He wanted to team up with them. Ryu thought he was a girl af first, and he thought he was hot or whatever. Ryu took him to Yoh, and Lyserg freaked out, and hurt Horo Horo and Ren. Yoh slapped him (xD) and said that partners don't hurt eachother. Lyserg is determined to kill Hao, because Hao killed his mother and father when he was little, and he is all alone now. When he sees that Yoh looks alot like Hao, he gets all weird. And teams up with the X-Laws because they want to kill Hao too.
Bokutou no Ryu: Ryu seemed kinda stupid/mean at first, because he beat the crap out of Manta. He is always looking for the "Best Place". When he realizes that Yoh is good, he wants to be a Shaman, too. Ryu likes girls alot, like Mily, and Tamao, and other people when he sees them. He liked Lyserg the first time he saw him, mistaking him for a girl, and still did even after he found out he was a boy.
Chocolove: Chocolove is always making really corny jokes. His goal is to fill the world with laughter. He met up with Yoh and them when they were in America. He stayed with them because he didn't want to go to the Shaman Fight alone or something. He always makes really lame jokes and Ren usually ends up poking his nose with his weapon
Faust VIII: Faust VIII used to live a happy life with his wife Elisa. There was only one problem, Elisa had a bad illness and it made it hard to live. Faust was determined to find a cure and he did. But as soon as Elisa was cured, she was shot soon after and died. Now Faust wants to be Shaman King so he can bring her back to life. He eventually teams up with Yoh.Gallery
