Story
Black Cat, real name Train Heartnet, was the 13th member of the Numbers under Chronos. He was the ultimate killer at that time because he could finish every mission completely and quickly. However, Train's ideals started to change after he met a girl on the rooftop, called Saya. Saya told Train that guns were not only for killing, and he was to live his life the way he wanted. Train left Chronos and started a journey of his own.Train met Sven, Eve and Rinslet on his way and joined them. He planned to stop killing people and to help those in need. However Creed, another member from Chronos who was Train's partner before and liked Train as the ultimate killer, also left Chronos and formed a group of his own. He wanted Train to join him so he killed Saya and triggered Train's anger. Train tried to look for him and take revenge on Saya's death, but Creed's followers were too strong for him. Creed gave him time to decide before joining his team.
Train & co. discovered that there are two people with "Tao" who were killing people all the way, so they wanted to obtain the weird medicing which contained Tao. During their search, Train met Kyouko, who was one of those teo people. Kyouko liked Train at first sight and later Train convinced her to stop killing people. Train got stronger during his journey and continue his search for Creed in order to kill him.
Characters
Train Heartnet: Number XIII of Chronos, he was an expert with gun fighting and cold at first. His encounter with Saya changed his personality and he became a more easy-going guy. In order to take revenge for Saya, Train vowed to kill Creed.
Sven Wollfeld: Sven claimed himself to be a "gentleman", and always helped girls in need. He bumped into Rins when he was looking for a job and learnt about the nano-technology. He saved Ev and convinced Train to join them.
Eve: The nano-technology weapon developed by Torneo. However, she had her own feelings after her meeting with Sven and she helped Sven after Torneo was defeated. She considered Train as her competitor.
Rinsllet Walker: A great thief and expert in collecting information. She had to retrive the nano-tech weapon therefore she acted a scene and tricked Sven into helping her at first. Sven discovered her real identity and they worked together afterwards.
Saya Minashiki: A sweeper who always wore a kimono since it was her traditional clothes. She met Train on the rooftop and toldhim that one's life ahould be decided by one self. Train considered her his best friend, but she was killed before they could enjoy the festival together.
Creed Diskence: A silver-haired guy who liked Train for his awesome abilities as an eraser. He wanted Train to join his team and help him sweep out Chronos and everyone who was against them. He killed Saya just to trigger Train's anger. He hated everyone who softened Train's heart.
Kyouko Kirisaki: She was a high school girl who had the ability of blowing out fire. She fell in love with Train at her first encounter with him and quitted Creed's group because she didn't want to fight with Train.
Jenos Hazard: Number VII of Chronos, he had a glove which enabled him to pull out invisible strings during attacks. His first mission was to retrive Ev, but he was defeated by Train.
Salden: Kyouko's partner who could control the flow of blood. Together they gave criminals weird bottles of medicine which gave those people the ability to use "Tao", a kind of special strengthing ability.
Sefiria: Number I of Chronos. When Train decided to leave Chronos, she was appointed the mission of bringing him back. She was skillful in using a sword. However when Train asked her what is Chronos to her, she couldn't answer. She believed that Chronos was to free other people, but the people in Chronos had no freedom.
Maison: One of the higher authorities inside Chronos. He made decisions and gave missions to the Numbers. To Train's betrayal, he didn't take mush action because his first priority was to defeat Creed, who was against Chronos.Gallery
