Story
Season 1This story begins in Tokyo Towers.
The three future Magic Knights, Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuuzaki, were standing in Tokyo Towers, from different schools, different homes, different lives, when there was a bright dazzling light, and they were transported to Cephiro. It was then they discovered who they truly were. They were assigned to a mission – to help Princess Emeraude, the pillar of Cephiro, who plays an important part in Cephiro by praying for Cephiro. She was kidnapped by her all-powerful, ex-priest Zagato. The three Magic Knights, like it or not, must work together to help Cephiro and get back to their own dimension.
But things are not what they seem, though…
Season 2
The three Magic Knights are back on Earth, but in Cephiro lies another mission for them…
Princess Emeraude is dead, and the pillar of Cephiro’s place is empty, causing Cephiro to fall to ruins. It has also attracted the eye of other countries, such as Autozam, Chizeta and Farem. Not only that, two strong villains, Debonair and Nova, Debonair’s daughter, are trying to take over the throne. Each of them wants to be Cephiro’s pillar for separate reasons.
The Magic Knights are transported to Cephiro again, with new weapons and armour. They must keep on fighting to ensure the safety of Cephiro. Meanwhile, who will emerge as the pillar of Cephiro?
Characters
Hikaru Shidou: Hikaru is the Magic Knight of Fire. She learnt Kendo when she was very young. She is always optimistic, cheerful and loves animals. She is also loyal to her friends. In the second season, she falls in love with Lantis. 
Umi Ryuuzaki: Umi is tall and elegant and she uses water-based magic. She is hot-tempered and selfish at first and is also the most reluctant in the Magic Knights. She cannot seem to get along with Mokona. She is a fierce fencing champion which is probably one of the reasons why her sword is shaped like a foil.
Fuu Hououji: Fuu is the most quiet and reserved one in the Magic Knights. She is great in archery and that’s why her first weapons were arrows and bows. She is also very clever and she holds the healing powers of wind. She has a weird sense of humour and likes to state the obvious. She likes Ferio. 
Princess Emeraude: Princess Emeraude is the pillar of Cephiro. In order to keep Cephiro alive and standing, she must give all of her heart to and only think about Cephiro. Now that she’s been kidnapped by Zagato, Cephiro is falling to ruins, which is why the Magic Knights are called to the case.
Priest Zagato: Zagato is the ex-priest of Princess Emeraude and is cold-blooded. He is the one who kidnapped Princess Emeraude but in actuality, he was in love with Princess Emeraude.
Clef: He is the chief of all sorcerers in Cephiro. In the very first episode, he was turned to stone by Zagato after being introduced to the Magic Knights. He seems to like Umi.
Mokona: Mokona is a cute, cuddly creature who is naughty and mischievous. The red gem on his forehead allows him to produce things for the girls that they need, such as food. 
Alcyone: Alcyone is an ice sorcerer who was once tutored under Clef. However, she fell in love with Zagato. Because of that, she became his servant. Unfortunately, Zagato does not love her. 
Ascot: Ascot is a young Palu who can summon monsters. Ascot was driven away by the villagers because they feared him until he was offered a home from Zagato if he promised to serve him. 
Caldina: Caldina is a Chizeta native and is a dancer who speaks with an Osaka accent. Zagato hires her as an assassin. She is also a illusionist and hypnotist. She likes Lafarga.
Lafarga: He was once charged with protecting the Pillar. He likes to slay the occasional monsters that would appear. Zagato hypnotized him into trying to kill the Magic Knights.
Ferio: The Magic Knights first met Ferio in the Forest of Silence. He is tough and possesses a sword taller than him. He is actually Princess Emeraude’s younger brother, although he does not remember it because Princess Emeraude erased his memories in order for him not to grief. He likes Fuu.
Presea: She is a master of weapon making and is one of Clef’s students. She helped the Magic Knights make their weapons. She seems to have a small crush on Clef.
Eagle Vision: Eagle is a well-known commander in Autozam, a country that relies strongly on technology to live. He is fierce warrior and is the leader of Autozam’s invasion of Cephiro. He wants to be Cephiro’s pillar for his own personal reason. He is actually very sick, and wants to be asleep forever with Cephiro.
Geo Metro: He is the second-in-command of the Autozam invasion of Cephiro. He has a sweet tooth and is muscular and good-natured. He acts like an older brother to Eagle.
Zazu Torque: He is the teen mechanic of Eagle’s forces and is extremely short. He is addicted to alcohol.
Lady Aska: Lady Aska is the first princess of the country Farem. She is very young, over-confident and pretty bratty. She wants Cephiro so her every imagination will become reality. She can use all the legendary spells of the Royal Family, including the ability to conjure creature that she draws.
Sanyun: Sanyun is Aska’s loyal servant and childhood friend. He is more studious than Aska and hopes to help Aska to rule Farem.
Chanan: Chanan is the Farem cabinet member and ruler of the realm until Aska grows older. He puts a lot of pressure on Aska to become a good ruler. He usually gets angry with Aska for her rash actions and silly decisions.
Tarta: She is the quick-tempered princess of Chizeta. She and her sister, Tatra, wants Cephiro because she wants to extend Chizeta’s territory. She is great at sword combat. She can also summon the djinn Rakoon. 
Tatra: Tatra is the older sister and is a bit ditzy. She is pretty formidable when she focuses, and she can conjure up the djinn Rasheen. She chooses to use a whip against her enemies.
Debonair: Debonair is the major villain in Season 2. She is called into being by the darkness in the hearts of Cephiro’s citizens, giving her a huge amount of power. She wants to take over Cephiro, and also created Nova, her daughter, solely for Hikaru.
Nova: Nova is the daughter of Debonair. She is vaguely “related” to Hikaru, and likes whatever Hikaru hates and hates whatever Hikaru likes. 
Lantis: Lantis is the younger brother of Zagato. He is cool-tempered, gentle and quiet. He falls in love with Hikaru in the second season.
Primera: Primera is a fairy who has acted as Lantis’ guardian ever since he saved her from a monster attack. She is very possessive of Lantis, which is why she hates Hikaru. She can use low-level healing magic.Gallery
