Story
Hino Kahoko was a normal second year high school student in Seiso Academy. Seiso Academy is divided into two secions, the common section and the music section. Many years ago, the founder of the academy saved an elf named Lily, and in turn the elf fulfilled his dream - to establish a music school which will spread the word of music to everyone on earth.Inside the academy there is the irregular music contest held every few years. Students from the music section see this as a rare chance for them to perform in front of the whole school and strive their best to become the participants of the contest. Five students had been chosen as contestants but the headmaster insists that there should be six, and the last one will be a student who can see the music elf.
While Kahoko was walking to school, she came upon a voice and saw the strange being. Since she was able to see Lily, she was chosen as the last contestant and entrusted the magical violin. She met the other contestants, the cool and calm Tsukimori Len, the cheerful and easy-going Hihara Kazuki, the other common student and football player Tsuchiura Ryotaro, the always-sleepy and cute first year Shimizu Keiichi, the shy and lovely Fuyuumi Shouko, the famous and elegant Yunoki and the smoker teacher Kanazawa-sensei. The six of them compete in several music contest, each using their instrument of choice.
Through the contests and practices, Kahoko started to like music more. From a girl who only depend on the magical violin, she began to feel the urge to develop her own violin skills as well. It would be unfair to the others if only she was given the advantage to use a magical violin.
Characters
Kahoko Hino: A student from class 2-2 from the common section. She had no knowledge in any musical instrument, but because she could see the musical elf, Lily, and entrusted the magical violin, Kahoko became a contestant to the school's music contest. However, after numerous encounters with the other participants and different contests, Kahoko realized that she could not plainly reply on the magical violin, but her own abilities. 
Len Tsukimori: A student from Class 2-A from the music section. He was an expert in violin and had high hopes for himself. His parents were also well-known musicians and Len was regarded as a genius who inherited the blood of the Tsukimori family. However, Len thought the music he played contained no emotions, only skills. He felt weird when he listened to Kahoko's songs. 
Ryotaro Tsuchiura: A student from Class 2-5 from the common section. He was a good piano player but he didn't like to show his skills because of some sad memories from previous contests. During the first contest, Kahoko's partner abandoned her, and Tsuchiura helped her played the piano. From that incident, Tsichiura's skills were recognized and he was added to the list of contestants. 
Kazuki Hihara: A student from Class 3-A from the music section. He was a cheerful and easy-going guy and loved to play the trumpet. He believed that all music are happy, and he worked hard to play his trumpet to make people happy. He could become friends with everyone easily. He was a person who liked to speak non-stop when he met someone. 
Azuma Yunoki: A student from CLass 3-A from the music section. He was the son of a rich man who played the flute. He was very popular in school, especially among girls and he had his own protection squard of students. He was good friends with Hihara and Kanazawa-sensei. He had a beautiful face and helped Hihara out of his problems whenever he was impulsive and said something wrong. 
Keiichi Shimizu: A student from Class 1-A from the music section. He was someone who slept as soon as he entered his classroom and sat down. His instrument was bass. His daily routine was to wake up, play the bass, sleep, wake up, play the bass... He went to musical performances occasionally, and liked to go to the library sometimes. 
Shouko Fuyuumi: A student from Class 1-A from the music section. She was the youngest participant in the music contest and many of her classmates became jealous of her. Her specialty is playing the carinet. She was also from a rich family and they had a resort with a lot of practice rooms. 
Hiroto Kanazawa: The music teacher who was chosen to be in charge of the music contest. However, actually he didn't know why he was chosen and he did not have the enthusiasm to do his job. He always smoked and day-dreamed. 
Shinobu Ousaki: A person who was actually a friend of Kanazawa's. Kahoko accidentally met him playing his violin in the coastal park after school one day. He was well-loved by the citizens around the area. Many parents brought their children to listen to his music. 
Nami Amou: The musical elf who helped the founder of Seiso Academy to start the school. He was the one who made the magical violin and the person who could see him would automatically become a contestant for the music contest. Lily's dream was to spread the word of music and happiness to everyone on earth, and to let everyone know about the awesomeness of music.
